There are two ways to mount datastore on a Linux machine. One method is samba and the other method is nfs. samba mount works the best for single user environment. nfs mount is more suitable for multiple user environment. For nfs mount, the machine has to be modified and the user needs to work with a Kerberos ticket of limited lifetime to get access to the share.
