Depending on the type of leave, you may be entitled to additional funding and/or time for your research project. Also, extended leaves may affect your continued eligibility to continue to hold and administer funds for your research project. Both Research Acceleration and Strategic Initiatives (RASI) and Research Excellence and Innovation (REI) are responsible for negotiating changes to research agreements and confirming eligibility for university researchers named as Principal Investigators (PI) and Co-Investigators (co-I) on active funded research projects.
