Both Research Acceleration and Strategic Initiatives (RASI) for grants and for contracts Research Excellence and Innovation (REI) for contracts will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure that all the terms and conditions of the agreement have been met, determine if there are any remaining obligations, and undertake any procedures required for termination.
The closing of a research project and corresponding financial fund typically occurs when the:
- project has been completed;
- fund is at a zero balance;
- term of the agreement (end date) has past; and/or
- agreement is terminated.
