Step-by-step

  1. Connect to your meeting.

  2. Confirm that the Audio and Video Connection panel is on the screen.

    1. If not, click on the icon with the telephone on it.

If you do not see the icon with the telephone on it, hover in the bottom-center of the Webex window.

  3. Click “More options” with Call Using Computer selected.

  4. Click Test, which should play a sound. If this is successful, skip to step 8.

  5. Ensure that your speaker or headset is powered on and properly connected to your computer, then press Test again. If this is successful, skip to step 8.

  6. Ensure that your computer's system volume is high enough and not muted.

  7. Change your audio output device next to the Test button, then press Test again. Repeat with other devices in the list if this continues to be unsuccessful.

  8. Speak into your microphone to confirm that you see blue bars jump with your voice. If that is successful, then WebEx is hearing your voice and you can skip to step 10.

  9. Change your audio input device from the drop-down next to the microphone icon. Repeat with other devices in the list if this continues to be unsuccessful.

  10. Click OK.

  11. Click Connect Audio, or Connect Audio and Video if you are connecting your video as well.
