What is a Plugin or a Macro?
Confluence comes bundled with useful plugins that improve or increase functionality of the tool. Many of these plugins are supported by the Confluence vendor, however, some are third-party distributed which mean that the Confluence vendor does not provide support.
For more information on using Plugins and Macros, visit the Confluence User Guide section on Working with Macros.
In order to provide a successful service to the University of Saskatchewan, not all plugins will be enabled. A list of enabled plugins will be created on this page. Some will be officially supported, others will be enabled but not supported.
ITS Supported Plugins
- Gliffy Plugin: Create and edit diagrams, flowcharts, wireframes, etc.
- Calendar Plugin: insert a dynamically updated calendar into any page.
- Office Connector : edit pages directly from Microsoft Office. In turn, embed and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets and presentations directly on Confluence pages.
Enabled Plugins - Not Supported
Please be aware that the following plugins have been enabled due to client requests, however they are not supported by ITS. Use these plugins at your own risk. In the event of a system upgrade, ITS cannot guarantee that these plugins will function as expected.
