22-May-2020 | Curriculum Vitae - On May 22nd, the UnivRS team migrated additional data stored in CVMS to UnivRS to record projects awarded before 1998. These projects pre-dated the legacy system in the Research Services and Ethics Office and needed to be manually cross-compared with data already stored in UnivRS to avoid duplicate records. From the UnivRS dashboard, this migrated data is accessible under the Projects left-hand menu in the Projects (pre-1998 or before USask employment) list page. |
03-Mar-2020 | Curriculum Vitae - On February 28th, the UnivRS team migrated data stored in CVMS to UnivRS. CVMS is the in-house CV system used by the Colleges of Medicine and Nursing for promotion, tenure and accreditation purposes. This data migration was the last stage of the CV Management Module and UnivRS is now the largest system for CV data at the University of Saskatchewan. Dec. 10, 2018 | Compliance - On December 10, the UnivRS team will internally release biosafety and radiation safety software to the staff in Safety Resources. This software will: simplify the life cycle for projects involving biological materials and radioisotopes; help monitor the use and storage of biological materials and radioisotopes; and align university strategy with internal and external regulations and guidelines, including those set by Health Canada, Public Health Agency of Canada, Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. All faculty and staff will continue to submit their human ethics, animal ethics, biosafety and radiation safety forms to the respective unit via e-mail. This in-person training provides an overview of how to enter and maintain CV-related information in UnivRS, including generating the University of Saskatchewan Standardized CV, Forms 1 and 2. Additional sessions may be scheduled with ICT Training Services, if more than 15 people are in attendance. |
May 3, 2018 | Compliance - On May 7, the UnivRS team will internally release human ethics software to the staff in the Research Services and Ethics Office. This software will: simplify the life cycle for projects involving human participants; provide a central repository to generate reports and other outputs; and align university strategy with external regulations, such as the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans.
