UnivRS Releases

  • May 3, 2018:
    • On May 7, the UnivRS team will release human ethics software to staff in the Research Services and Ethics Office. This software will: simplify the life cycle for projects involving human participants; provide a central repository to generate reports and other outputs; and align university strategy with external regulations, such as the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans. All faculty and staff will continue to submit their human ethics, animal ethics, biosafety and radiation safety forms to the respective unit via e-mail.  More information is available on our Frequent Asked Questions webpage.

    • Read-only fields were included in UnivRS to display requested and awarded budgets in Canadian dollars. The conversion rate will also be included for transparency purposes. • The Save & Close button was been relabeled to Save & Update Status to provide further guidance on how to submit, approve and/or validate any record in UnivRS (e.g. Project Applications, Publications, etc.). The button continues to work as it did prior to the relabeling. Training documentation, notifications and FAQs have been updated to reflect this change in the system.

    • Curriculum Vitae - A new CV output is available in UnivRS to assist with the validation process.
